A navy dinner suit is an affectation, Film Spoilers—ye be warned . I love spy fiction, and no one does it better than Bond, although the character plain annoys me.

When Skyfall hit the cinemas, it was hyped up to hell, being called the best Bond movie ever, rave reviews and Oscar nominations! I thought Quantum of Solace ranked as my least favourite Bond movie, so I skipped this one at the cinema. Skyfall is definitely an improvement over the last Bond entry, which felt more like a Bourne film.

It had been four years since we last had a 007 adventure In this 50th year of the James Bond series, with the dismal " Quantum of Solace " (2008) still in our minds, "Skyfall" triumphantly reinvents 007 in one of the best Bonds ever.

The second chunk of the film takes Bond to China, and here, SKYFALL is almost retro, 2012-11-18 · Nice review, Thomas. I thought that shower scene was creepy too. The other thing that didn’t sit right with me for a lot of the film was the similarities to the new Batman movies – especially the whole ‘he wanted to get caught’ sequence, followed by the backstory of Wayne’s (sorry, Bond’s) parents death which led him to hiding in a cave (sorry, secret tunnel) where when he came out "Skyfall" is jam-packed with action, as you would expect. The fight atop the train is good old, hard-swinging Bond at his best.
